MIXED MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES
UNDISPUTED MARTIAL ARTS & FITNESS
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is perhaps the most evolutionary form of combat sport to date. Popularized by organizations such as the UFC and Pride FC, MMA is easily the fastest growing sport worldwide.
It combines aspects from a variety of fighting sports such as Muay Thai and Boxing, for its striking component in the standup phase of competition, and Olympic style Wrestling (both Freestyle and Greco Roman) and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), for the grappling component when the fight goes to the ground.
Our MMA program teaches only the appropriate techniques from each of these disciplines to ensure that our athletes can be as versatile as possible in the ring or cage.
Our program will also extensively cover fighting techniques such as Ground and Pound that are exclusive to MMA.
There’s a great reason why MMA is considered to be one of the most exciting athletic events around today. MMA fighters are looked at like modern day gladiators, since these warriors fight in a primal manner with minimal rules.
Classes incorporate all applicable skills from the major combat sports:
Boxing: punching, footwork, head movement and other defensive measures.
Muay Thai: elbows, knees, kicks, clinching and their respective defenses.
Wrestling: angling, shooting and takedown defense.
BJJ: positioning, submissions and their defenses.
